Biography

Kate Cutler Vick is an award-winning senior communications consultant with nearly 20 years’ experience in communications and public relations. She specialises in strategic communications, crisis management, campaigns, and public sector communications.

Kate set up CutlerVick Communications in 2003. Her client list includes, among others, the Independent Advisory Group on Sexual Health and HIV (the Government’s advisory group on sexual health), the Home Office, the Department of Health’s Cross Government Obesity Unit, the Centre for HIV and Sexual Health and the CGD Research Trust.

Before setting up CutlerVick Communications, Kate was Executive Director of Citigate Communications where she oversaw an agency merger and headed up the health and design teams. Her clients included NICE, the Healthcare Commission, the NHS Cancer Screening Programme, the National Patient Safety Agency and the Commission for Patient and Public Involvement in Health.

She is a passionate campaigner on health issues, and won the PR industry Sword of Excellence award for Breast Cancer Care’s Breast Cancer Awareness month in 1998. Kate also has a great deal of experience in publishing PR and worked for National Magazines (publishers of Cosmopolitan, Harpers and Queen, Good Housekeeping and Company) and publishers Random House, Barrie and Jenkins and Dorling Kindersley.

Kate was educated in the USA and Canada, Austria, Germany and Japan before returning to the UK to take a degree in English Literature from University College London.
